SCHEDULE OPTIONS

We offer our students a wide variety of options to train at the Institute. Our schedules and class times have been designed so students wishing to take two programs at the same time may do so. For example, it is possible to take our Culinary Management Diploma program three mornings a week (8 AM to 12 noon) and our Culinary Arts program four afternoons per week (1 PM to 5 PM.) This allows our students to take a "double major" and complete two courses in the same time frame.

*Starting in April 2011, all new weekend schedules will have one weekend of classes off per month. This also applies to students taking evening classes that meet on Saturday or Sunday evenings. June and July 2011 are exceptions – there will be no weekends off in June 2011, but two weekends off in July 2011.

Why go to ICE®?

We are very proud of the recognition that ICE® has received from chefs, alumni and the larger culinary community. But, our most objective praise comes from an important, national association of education professionals. Most every major culinary school in America, including ICE®, is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). An ACCSCT team made up of industry and educational experts conducted two-day inspections of ICE® in 2000 and 2005. In 2000, after the first inspection, the accrediting team cited ICE® for four separate "Items of Excellence."
  1. 100% student satisfaction: All students surveyed would "Recommend the school to a friend"
  2. Outstanding faculty and faculty commitment to students.
  3. Facilities and equipment.
  4. Involvement in community service.
In 2005, after the second inspection, ICE® was designated an ACCSCT "School of Distinction." ICE® is the only culinary school in New York City to ever receive this honor.
